INVO is seeking seeking a compassionate, student-centered Guidance Counselor to join our charter school community in Philadelphia PA. The ideal candidate will provide counseling services that support students’ academic success, social-emotional development, and career readiness. This role is key to promoting a positive school culture and ensuring that every student receives the support they need to thrive.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Support students in developing academic and post-secondary plans, including college and career readiness
• Deliver classroom lessons and workshops on social-emotional skills, conflict resolution, and goal setting
• Participate in IEP and 504 plan meetings, contributing to the development of support strategies
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress and well-being
• Coordinate referrals to outside agencies and community-based mental health services as needed
• Assist with crisis intervention, risk assessments, and development of school-wide mental health supports
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of services and student progress

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
• Pennsylvania School Counselor Certification REQUIRED
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school or youth-based setting (charter school experience a plus)
• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practices, SEL, and restorative approaches
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
• Passion for working with diverse student populations in an urban school setting
