Special Instruction- Infants and Toddlers - Part Time
Job Description
- Invo Healthcare is seeking a talented, part-time Special Instructor (SI) to join our Early Intervention (EI) Team in Franklin/Fulton County. Invo is the nation’s leading provider of behavior, mental health and therapy services in schools, centers and communities.
- To qualify, applicants must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in EI, early childhood special ed, early childhood ed, child development, special ed, or family studies OR bachelor’s degree which includes 15 credit hours in the previously mentioned studies
- 1 year of full-time or full-time-equivalent experience working with preschool children with disabilities or a university-supervised student practicum/teaching experience with preschool children with disabilities
- Child Abuse Clearance
- Criminal Background Check
- Fingerprinting
- What to expect from this role?
- Support and understand the social, emotional, and cognitive development of an infant/toddler
- Assist in increasing a young child's learning opportunities within the child's daily routines to positively impact his/her growth
- Collaborate with and coach infant/toddlers' caregivers to help develop age-appropriate skills and meet milestones
- Serve as member of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) team
- Facilitate goals and objectives per child’s IFSP plan
- Maintain appropriate records
- Perform other SI duties/responsibilities required by the Program and within the scope of certification
- Ensure all services are performed in accordance with state laws and regulations
