Part time LDTC needed for a Charter School in Newark NJ
Job Description
The Invo-Progressus team is growing! We have a NJ Charter School seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Disabled Teacher Consultant (LDTC) to join our team on a part-time basis.
As an LDTC, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students with learning disabilities by providing specialized instruction, assessments, and consultation to teachers and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students with learning disabilities and determine appropriate educational interventions.
- Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals.
- Provide direct instruction to students with learning disabilities in individual or small group settings.
- Consult with general education teachers to implement accommodations and modifications to support students with learning disabilities in the classroom.
- Monitor student progress and make adjustments to instructional strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with school administrators, psychologists, and related service providers to ensure coordinated services for students with learning disabilities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, progress reports, and IEP meetings.
- Stay current with research and best practices in the field of special education and learning disabilities.
Qualifications:
- New Jersey certification as a Learning Disabled Teacher Consultant (LDTC).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working with students with a range of learning disabilities, preferably in a charter school or similar educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including IDEA and ADA.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
