Job Description
INVO is hiring! We are seeking a part time BCBA for a school program in Norwood NJ. he Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring behavior intervention programs for students with special needs. The BCBA will work closely with teachers, school staff, and parents to create and maintain effective behavioral strategies that enhance student learning and socialization in the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Behavior Assessments: Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to identify the causes of challenging behaviors and develop targeted behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Intervention Development: Design, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students based on assessment data and evidence-based practices.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Collect and analyze data on student behaviors to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers, paraprofessionals, school psychologists, and other staff to implement behavior plans and support student progress.
- Training & Support: Provide training and ongoing support to school staff and parents on the implementation of behavior intervention strategies and positive behavior supports.
- IEP Development: Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to the development of goals and objectives related to behavior.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention support as needed, including the development of crisis plans and de-escalation strategies.
- Consultation: Offer expert consultation to school teams on best practices in behavior management and student support.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and confidential records of assessments, behavior plans, progress monitoring, and communications with stakeholders.
- Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and related fields through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Education: Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
- Experience: Prior experience in a school setting or working with children with special needs is preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge: Thorough understanding of behavior analysis principles, including the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans.
- Licensure: State licensure as a BCBA (if applicable).
