Position Summary:
Invo Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) to provide comprehensive psychological services to students across campuses in San Antonio, Texas. The LSSP will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' academic, emotional, and behavioral success.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Valid LSSP license issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP)
- Completion of a 1,200-hour internship (600 hours in a public school setting)
- Passing scores on the Praxis II School Psychology Exam and the Texas Jurisprudence Exam
- Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and procedures
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments to determine eligibility for special education services
- Interpret and report assessment data in compliance with IDEA and Texas Education Code
- Participate in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings and contribute to IEP development
Consultation & Collaboration
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student needs and interventions
- Provide recommendations for academic and behavioral interventions
- Support implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
Counseling & Intervention
- Deliver individual and group counseling services to students with emotional or behavioral challenges
- Support crisis intervention and threat assessment procedures
- Promote mental health awareness and social-emotional learning
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and evaluations
- Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
Preferred Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working in diverse school settings
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
