We’re seeking a talented, Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our school-based services team in Tempe, AZ.
Professional License Requirements:
Applicants are required to have the following, legally mandated certifications. Applicants without these requirements will not be considered.
- Have active state-level licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
What to expect from this role:
Experience working in schools or with children is a plus but not required.
- Work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, provide sensory integration, motor patterns and awareness of the external environment
- Develop/improve individual’s ability to independently perform tasks
- Serve as member of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) team for students with occupational therapy concerns
- Facilitate goals and objectives per child’s educational plan
- Maintain appropriate records
- Work in coordination with school personnel and parents to develop appropriate programs for eligible students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Effectively communicate with teachers, administrators, and parents
- Perform other COTA duties/responsibilities required by the Program and within the scope of licensure and/or certification
- Ensure all services are performed in accordance with state laws and regulations
