Great careers begin with great opportunities! The Invo-Progressus team is currently searching for a part-time Bilingual (Spanish) School Psychologist to conduct psychoeducational evaluations in Bridgeton, NJ.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Psychoeducational Evaluations:
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' strengths, needs, and eligibility for special education services.
    • Utilize culturally and linguistically appropriate tools and methods to assess bilingual students.
  • Student Support:
    • Develop and implement intervention strategies to address academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges.
    • Provide counseling services to students as needed.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
    • Participate in child study team meetings and provide expert guidance on interventions and evaluations.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records and ensure all evaluations and services meet state and federal regulations.
    • Prepare detailed, professional reports in English and Spanish, as required.
  • Professional Development:
    • Stay current with best practices, research, and regulations in school psychology and bilingual education.
    • Provide training and support to staff on culturally responsive practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology.
    • Valid New Jersey School Psychologist certification.
  • Experience:
    • Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations, particularly for bilingual students.
    • Familiarity with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Knowledge of IDEA, NJ state special education regulations, and relevant assessment tools.
    • Commitment to equity and inclusivity in education.
