Job Description
INVO is seeking a BCBA for a short term full time need in Franklin NJ. The BCBA will be responsible for providing behavioral support and consultation services to students, teachers, and support staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and will be skilled in conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to support student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Behavior Assessments: Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to identify the root causes of challenging behaviors in students and develop comprehensive Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Intervention Planning: Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans that address the specific needs of students.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of behavior interventions and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Consultation: Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school staff to provide guidance on the implementation of behavior strategies and support the integration of students with behavioral challenges into the general education environment.
- Training & Support: Provide training and ongoing support to staff members on behavior management techniques, data collection, and the implementation of BIPs.
- Crisis Intervention: Assist in crisis intervention situations and provide strategies to prevent and de-escalate challenging behaviors.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Parent Collaboration: Work closely with parents/guardians to ensure they understand and can support the behavior interventions at home.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.
- Education: Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience working as a BCBA in a school setting is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of ABA principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
- Crisis management and problem-solving skills.
- Other Requirements:
- Clearances as required by New Jersey law (Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse Clearance).
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
