Job Description
Invo Healthcare is seeking a dynamic full-time Special Education Teacher to support young adults ages 18–22 in a transition-focused life skills program in the Huron, CA area. This program emphasizes vocational readiness, independent living, and community integration for students with disabilities preparing for adulthood.
As an Invo Special Education Teacher, you’ll play a vital role in helping students achieve meaningful educational and life goals.
Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals focused on life skills, vocational training, and independent living.
Support students in real-world settings including job sites, public transportation, and community-based instruction.
Collaborate with families, school teams, and community partners to ensure holistic support.
Provide consultation and resources to parents regarding transition planning and adult services.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with IDEA and district policies.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and empowering learning environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Mild/Moderate Support Needs or Extensive Support Needs.
State-level teaching certificate or ability to obtain one upon hire.
Experience working with individuals with special needs or disabilities.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
