COTAs Needed in Carbon Lehigh County PA
Job Description
Invo Healthcare is the nation’s leading provider of behavior, mental health and therapy services in schools, centers and communities.
We’re seeking talented full time COTAs for support students in Carbon Lehigh PA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Therapeutic Intervention: Implement individualized therapy plans designed by the supervising Occupational Therapist to improve students' fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
- Student Support: Assist students in developing skills necessary for classroom participation, including handwriting, self-care, and mobility within the school environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate therapeutic strategies into the students' daily routines and educational plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, therapy sessions, and outcomes in compliance with school policies and regulatory standards.
- Equipment Management: Assist in the selection, use, and maintenance of adaptive equipment and assistive technology to support student independence.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Licensure: Valid state licensure to practice as a COTA in Pennsylvania.
- Education: Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, staff, and families.
