We’re seeking talented full time COTAs for support students in Carbon Lehigh PA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Therapeutic Intervention: Implement individualized therapy plans designed by the supervising Occupational Therapist to improve students' fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
• Student Support: Assist students in developing skills necessary for classroom participation, including handwriting, self-care, and mobility within the school environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate therapeutic strategies into the students' daily routines and educational plans.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, therapy sessions, and outcomes in compliance with school policies and regulatory standards.
• Equipment Management: Assist in the selection, use, and maintenance of adaptive equipment and assistive technology to support student independence.

Qualifications:

• Certification: Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Licensure: Valid state licensure to practice as a COTA in Pennsylvania.
• Education: Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Experience: Previous experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, staff, and families.
